## Description

This 10-hryvnia commemorative circulation issue of 2022 reveals the theme of "Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine". The coin is designed as an everyday memory carrier: a recognizable state obverse is combined with a plot reverse, where symbols and inscriptions concentrate the main idea. The composition is readable at first glance and at the same time has details for the collector.

#### Overse

The obverse retains the classic structure for 10-hryvnia circulation coins: the center is dominated by a large denomination "10", below it is the word "hryvnia" and the year of minting "2022". Above is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, and around the circle is the inscription "Ukraine". The background is filled with micro-relief and ornamental lines that add depth and protect against counterfeiting.

#### Reverse

The reverse is dedicated to the theme "Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine". In the center is a symbolic shield and crossed swords, around which is built a background: the silhouette of a volunteer against the background of the map of Ukraine. Below or to the side is a ribbon with a motto and a trident element; the elements are connected by smooth transitions of the relief, thanks to which the light emphasizes the details. A circular inscription completes the composition, creating the feeling of a holistic emblem.

#### Historical context

The Territorial Defense Forces are a network of units that unites military and volunteers to protect communities, facilities and communications. In 2022, their role was particularly evident in deterring the enemy, protecting the rear, and supporting regular troops. The coin honors the people who stood up to defend their home, not waiting for ideal conditions.
