Obverse

Historical context
The Federal Agency for Technical Relief was founded in 1950; today it is one of the world’s largest civil-protection organizations, sustained almost entirely by volunteer labor. Its specialists work both at home and abroad — from the cleanup after the devastating 2021 Ahr valley flood to international missions following earthquakes. The 2025 coin was the fourth issue in the "In the Service of Society" series, which began in 2022 with the theme "Care," continued with "Fire Service" (2023) and "Police" (2024).
