Historical context
Radio and Television of Andorra (RTVA) is the public media company of the Principality of Andorra, founded in 1990 with the start of the broadcasting of Andorran public radio and public television. RTVA unites two main services: Ràdio Nacional d'Andorra (RNA, radio) and Andorra Televisió (ATV, television). The creation of public broadcasting in a small state was an important step for the development of national culture, the preservation of the Catalan language and the support of the country's democratic information space. The coin is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the beginning of public broadcasting in Andorra.
