The 2 euro coin was issued by Finland in 2011 to mark the 200th anniversary of the Bank of Finland (Suomen Pankki). Founded in 1811, the bank is one of the oldest central banks in the world and is now part of the Eurosystem.
Obverse

Reverse
The reverse depicts the facade of the Bank of Finland building in Helsinki, a 19th-century classicist building. The inscription "SUOMEN PANKKI 200 VUOTTA", "SUOMI FINLAND 2011" and the 12 EU stars frame the central composition.
Historical context
The Bank of Finland was founded on 1 March 1811 by Tsar Alexander I as the State Bank of the Grand Duchy of Finland. Since 1999, the bank has been a member of the Eurosystem and performs the functions of a central bank within the framework of the single monetary policy of the ECB. It is the fourth oldest central bank in the world.
