Historical context
Finland is one of the countries most affected by climate change: the average temperature is rising faster than the global average. Finnish scientists are among the leaders in global climate research, particularly in the Arctic. The country has set itself the ambitious goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2035 - earlier than any other EU country.
