The 2 euro coin was minted by Finland in 2025 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the traditional track and field match between the Finnish and Swedish national teams (Suomi–Ruotsi-maaotellu), first held in 1925.
Obverse

Historical context
The first Finland-Sweden track and field match took place in 1925 in Stockholm. It is the oldest regular international team track and field tournament in the world. The competitions alternate between Helsinki and Stockholm and attract tens of thousands of spectators. The match is a symbol of the friendly relations between the two neighboring nations and the shared Scandinavian sporting traditions.
