The reverse is the common side of the 2 euro coins of the second type, designed by Luc Luix (Royal Belgian Mint). It depicts a map of Europe as a single continent without internal borders - a symbol of European unity. On the left is a large denomination "2" and the inscription "EURO", on the right is a map with six thin horizontal lines. On the outer ring are the 12 stars of the European Union. Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (March 6, 1475 - February 18, 1564) was a genius of the High Renaissance, one of the three "titans" of the era along with Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael. Sculptor, painter, architect, poet, engineer. Born in Caprese (Tuscany), raised in Florence. A student of Domenico Ghirlandaio (1488-1489), then Bertoldo di Giovanni in the garden of Lorenzo de' Medici. Among the most famous sculptures: "Pieta" (1498-1499) in St. Peter's Basilica, "David" (1501-1504) in Florence - a symbol of the Florentine Republic with a height of 5.17 m, "Moses" (1513-1515) for the tomb of Pope Julius II. As a painter - frescoes of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican: the ceiling (1508-1512) with the famous "Creation of Adam", "The Last Judgment" on the altar wall (1536-1541). As an architect - the dome of St. Peter's Basilica, Capitoline Square in Rome. Died on February 18, 1564 in Rome at the age of 88.
