The commemorative coin conveys the idea of the issue through symbols, relief and expressive composition, which is pleasant to look at. The plot and details of the design emphasize the theme: it is dedicated to an institution of higher education, the history of which begins on August 17, 1918, when the Hetman of Ukraine Pavlo Skoropadsky signed the law on the establishment of the university.
Obverse

The reverse is dominated by a thematic motif, complemented by inscriptions and details that emphasize the idea of the issue. The reverse of the coin shows the university building, above which, against the background of a stylized image of the fortress outline, is a portrait of Ivan Ogienko and the inscriptions: IVAN OGIENKO - THE FIRST RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY (around the portrait), KAM'YANETS-PODILSKY (in the upper part in an arc), NATIONAL UNIVERSITY/ NAMED AFTER IVAN OGIENKO/ 100/ YEARS (below). The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product a collector's expressiveness. In the texture of the field, there are noticeable transitions of relief: from thin strokes to deeper areas that beautifully catch the light when the coin is turned.
