The commemorative coin conveys the idea of the issue through symbols, relief and expressive composition, which is pleasant to look at. The plot and details of the design emphasize the theme: it is dedicated to the outstanding Ukrainian choral conductor, composer, ethnographer and teacher Oleksandr Koshyts (1875–1944), who played a key role in popularizing Ukrainian music on the international stage.
Obverse
On the obverse, the composition is readable at first glance: the official attributes of the state and the details of the plot work as a single whole. Between the names of the cities, the silhouettes of swallows are shown - a metaphor for spiritual flight, free movement and the spread of Ukrainian art in the world. At the bottom on the left side, the sign of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine is indicated. A stylized map of the tour route is reproduced on the matte field, on which the names of the cities where the chapel performed are marked. The mirror surface shows: the inscription UKRAINE, year of minting 20 / 25, small State Emblem of Ukraine, denomination 2 with a graphic sign of hryvnia. The obverse of the coin shows a composition symbolizing the touring activities of the Ukrainian Republican Chapel under the direction of Oleksandr Koshyts. The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product a collector's item. The state emblem in the composition sets the official tone and balances the decorative elements. The company emblem of the NBU Banknote and Mint emphasizes the official origin of the issue.
Reverse
The reverse side reveals the main image of the issue in a distinctive relief and multi-layered composition. On the left side, the mirror surface bears the inscriptions: OLEKSANDR / KOSHYTS and the years of his life 1875 / 1944. Particular attention is paid to the depiction of the artist's hands - the conductor's main "instrument" and a means of emotional expression. On the reverse of the coin, in the center of the composition, a stylized portrait of Oleksandr Koshyts in a tailcoat is shown. The background is a wavy, dynamic surface that diverges from the coat of arms of the Ukrainian People's Republic, symbolizing the spread of Ukrainian culture throughout the world thanks to the chapel's tour. The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product's collectible expressiveness. The state emblem in the composition sets the official tone and balances the decorative elements.
Historical context
The plot of the coin is tied to an event or image that is important for Ukrainian memory. Such releases become small "time capsules": they preserve the emotion of the moment, a cultural sign and recognizable symbolism for future generations. It will be an appropriate gift and a warm accent of the collection. It fits well with the collection and looks festive in the case.
