The coin honors the defense force and the people who keep the country going — restrained and very expressive. The plot and design details emphasize the theme: the roll of the circulation commemorative coins “Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” is dedicated to the selfless work of military medics who provide qualified and specialized medical care.
Overse
The obverse is built as a holistic scenography, where state symbols are combined with images of the issue theme. Framed by an ancient Russian ornament in the center are the inscriptions: UKRAINE / 10 / HRYVENE (in an arc). The obverse of the coin shows the small State Emblem of Ukraine (in the upper part), against the background of the ornament is the year of minting the coin – 2024 (below) and the sign of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (on the right side). The reverse side reveals the main image of the issue in expressive relief and multi-layered composition. The central element of the shield is a cross, on which a stylized snake wrapping around a diver is superimposed; in the background, camouflage pixels are schematically shown. The cross symbolizes a sign of comprehensive assistance and protection recognized in Europe and the world, and the snake wrapping around a diver is a symbol of medical forces. In the center of the composition, the emblem of the Medical Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is shown in relief, based on a “British” heraldic shield. On the reverse of the coin, the inscriptions are clearly visible around the circumference: PROFESSIONALISM AND CHARITY and MEDICAL FORCES OF THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE.
