The coin is dedicated to the Ukrainian language - a living space in which memory, freedom and daily care for each other sound. The plot and design details emphasize the theme: the roll of the circulating commemorative coins is dedicated to an integral part of Ukraine, defined by the Constitution of Ukraine, - the Kherson region.
Obverse
The obverse is built as a holistic scenography, where state symbols are combined with images of the issue theme. The obverse of the coin shows the small State Emblem of Ukraine (in the upper part). Framed by an ancient Russian ornament in the center, the inscriptions are noticeable: UKRAINE / 10 / HRYVEN (in an arc) against the background of the ornament, the year of minting of the coin is indicated - 2026 (below) and the sign of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (on the right side). The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product a collector's expressiveness. The state emblem in the composition sets the official tone and balances the decorative elements. The corporate emblem of the NBU Banknote and Mint emphasizes the official origin of the issue. The texture of the field shows noticeable relief transitions: from thin strokes to deeper areas that beautifully catch the light when the coin is turned.
Reverse
The reverse is the central story of the coin: the symbols are arranged so that the plot “comes to life” under different angles of light. In the upper part, the inscription KHERSON REGION is visible around the circle, below – the slogan of the series WE ARE STRONG. The reverse of the coin on the mirror surface shows a stylized map of Ukraine with clearly outlined administrative borders of the map on a matte field, which contrasts with the rest of the image, Kherson region is highlighted, emphasizing its belonging to a single state space WE ARE TOGETHER. The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product a collector's expressiveness. The texture of the field shows noticeable relief transitions: from thin strokes to deeper areas that catch the light beautifully when the coin is turned.
Historical context
The Ukrainian language is not only a way of communication, but also a support for identity: traditions, songs, literature, and family memories are transmitted through it. In the 20th and 21st centuries, it repeatedly became a marker of freedom and statehood, and now it sounds like a daily gesture of unity and mutual support.
