The commemorative coin conveys the idea of the issue through symbols, relief and expressive composition, which is pleasant to look at. The plot and details of the design emphasize the theme: dedicated to the Ukrainian secret organization that emerged in Kyiv at the end of 1845, which was one of the manifestations of the rise of the national movement and the activation of the Pan-Slavic movement.
Obverse

Reverse
The reverse is dominated by a thematic motif, complemented by inscriptions and details that emphasize the idea of the issue. Inscriptions: CYRIL-METHODIYVSKE TOVARYSTVO (in the upper part in an arc), 175/ROKIV (above the portraits), TARAS SHEVCHENKO (under the portrait of T. Shevchenko), MYKOLA KOSTOMAROV (under the portrait of M. Kostomarov). The reverse of the coin shows portraits of the members of the society on the mirror surface: T. Shevchenko (on the left side), M. In the texture of the field, there are noticeable transitions of relief: from thin strokes to deeper areas that beautifully catch the light when the coin is turned.
