The commemorative coin conveys the idea of the issue through symbols, relief and expressive composition, which is pleasant to look at. The obverse of the coin is notable for: in the upper part, the small State Emblem of Ukraine, on the left and right sides of which are the inscriptions in an arc: UKRAINE, the year of minting the coin – 2023, below – the sign of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine, the denomination of the coin – 5/HRYVEN. The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product a collector's expressiveness. The state emblem in the composition sets the official tone and balances the decorative elements. The corporate emblem of the Banknote and Mint of the NBU emphasizes the official origin of the issue.
Reverse
The reverse is the central story of the coin: the symbols are arranged so that the plot “comes alive” under different angles of light. The reverse of the coins features a stylized composition filled with traditional Ukrainian flavor and life: in the center is a plate of borscht, which, like a “stormy lake,” symbolizes deep Ukrainian culture and traditions, and the inscription – BORSCH (decorative element – pad printing). The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product’s collectible expressiveness. In the texture of the field, there are noticeable relief transitions: from thin strokes to deeper areas that beautifully catch the light when the coin is turned.
