The coin is dedicated to the Ukrainian language - a living space in which memory, freedom and daily care for each other sound. The plot and details of the design emphasize the theme: the commemorative coin is dedicated to a Ukrainian folk song of authorial origin, which during the ruthless war of Russia against Ukraine sounded with new force, became a Ukrainian symbol of invincibility, a hymn of courageous resistance.
Overse
The obverse side is built as a holistic scenography, where state symbols are combined with images of the issue theme. At the bottom on the right side (under the denomination) is the sign of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine, the inscriptions: AND WE WILL RAISE THIS RED KALYNA, (in the upper part in an arc), at the bottom the year of minting - 2022 and in an arc - UKRAINE, on the right side the denomination - 5 and a noticeably graphic symbol of the hryvnia. On the obverse of the coin on the mirror surface, one can see: a small State Emblem of Ukraine (on the left side), in the center – a stylized symbolic composition: defenders of different generations – a Cossack, a Sich rifleman and a modern soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, raise a viburnum – a poetic symbol of Ukraine, the crown of which resembles the outlines of the borders of our Motherland. The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product a collector's expressiveness. The state emblem in the composition sets the official tone and balances the decorative elements. The corporate emblem of the NBU Banknote and Mint emphasizes the official origin of the issue.
Reverse
The reverse is dominated by a thematic motif, complemented by inscriptions and details that emphasize the idea of the issue. On the reverse of the coin on the mirror surface, it is noticeable: in the upper part, in an arc, the inscription is the continuation of the song: AND WE WILL MAKE OUR GLORIOUS UKRAINE, HEY, HEY, LET'S CHEER UP! in the center, a branch is shown - a leaf and berries of viburnum. The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product's collectible expressiveness. In the texture of the field, relief transitions are noticeable: from thin strokes to deeper areas that beautifully catch the light when the coin is turned.
Historical context
The Ukrainian language is not only a way of communication, but also a support for identity: traditions, songs, literature, and family memory are transmitted through it. In the 20th and 21st centuries, it has repeatedly become a marker of freedom and statehood, and now it sounds like a daily gesture of unity and mutual support.
