The coin is dedicated to the Ukrainian language — a living space in which memory, freedom, and daily care for each other resonate. The plot and design details emphasize the theme: it is dedicated to the activities of the Security Service of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the SBU) and its unique special operation “Web” — an important component of the national security system of our state.
Obverse
The obverse presents the theme through a combination of state symbols, inscriptions, and a finely crafted relief. On the obverse of the coin, in the center of the composition, a stylized image of a Trojan horse is noticeably visible, behind which the silhouette of a truck transporting FPV drones to combat positions is visible. In the upper part of the coin, a small State Emblem of Ukraine, the inscription UKRAINE, and the year of minting 2025, a denomination of 5 with a graphic sign of the hryvnia, are noticeably visible. Below is the sign of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine. This archetype, inspired by the ancient Greek legend of ingenuity, reflects the essence of Operation “Cobweb” – the victory of intellect and creativity over brute force. LET’S DEFEND UKRAINE TOGETHER. On the left side, the emblem of the Security Service of Ukraine with the slogan SECURITY SERVICE OF UKRAINE is shown. The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product a collector’s item. The state emblem in the composition sets the official tone and balances the decorative elements. The corporate emblem of the NBU Banknote and Mint emphasizes the official origin of the issue.
Reverse
The reverse is dominated by a thematic motif, complemented by inscriptions and details that emphasize the idea of the issue. An additional element is a tactical scale with numbers, which belongs to drone control systems and ensures the accuracy of their guidance by the operator. Above it is a stylized spider web connecting the four affected airfields, illustrating the network nature of the operation and its strategic coherence. In the middle is the inscription 117 FPV / DRONES, indicating the number of drones involved in the special operation. The central element is the mirror silhouette of a strategic aircraft, which became one of the main targets of the strike at the time of its destruction. In the lower part, the inscription SPECIAL OPERATION OF THE SBU “WEB WEB” is clearly visible in an arc. On the reverse of the coin, the silhouette of a drone with a warhead is shown in the upper part. The careful relief and balance of the fields add to the product's collector's appeal.
Historical context
The Ukrainian language is not only a way of communication, but also a support for identity: traditions, songs, literature, and family memories are transmitted through it. In the 20th and 21st centuries, it has repeatedly become a marker of freedom and statehood, and now it sounds like a daily gesture of unity and mutual support. It will be an appropriate gift and a warm accent to the collection.
